By accessing or using PenniAI ("the app", "we", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.

These Terms govern your use of the app, including all features, functionality, and related services.

PenniAI provides tools to log expenses through voice input, automatically categorize spending using AI, and visualize your financial habits over time. You agree not to misuse the app or attempt to interfere with its normal operation.

You agree not to:

• Use the app for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to access data not intended for you
• Reverse-engineer or copy the app's functionality
• Upload or transmit harmful code or content
• Use the voice input feature to record others without their consent

We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access if these Terms are violated.

PenniAI requires an account to use the app. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You may delete your account at any time from within the app settings.

PenniAI captures your voice for the sole purpose of creating expense transactions. By using the voice input feature, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Your voice is processed by your device's speech recognition system
• Transcribed text may be sent to a third-party AI provider to extract expense details
• This processing occurs only at the time of your request and is not used for model training
• You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to record audio in your environment

PenniAI offers subscription plans that provide access to full app functionality. Subscriptions are managed and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not process payment information directly.

By purchasing a subscription, you agree to:

• The payment terms of Apple or Google
• Automatic renewal, unless canceled before the renewal date
• Applicable fees and taxes

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google account settings. We do not provide refunds for unused time or partial billing periods.

A free trial may be offered to new users. Trial eligibility is determined at Apple's or Google's discretion. At the end of the trial, your subscription will automatically renew unless canceled.

You retain ownership of the expense data, categories, and other content you create within the app.

You are solely responsible for:

• The accuracy of the information you log
• The legality of any content you input via voice or text
• Any consequences arising from sharing your data with third parties

We do not claim ownership or rights over your personal expense data.

PenniAI integrates with third-party services to provide its functionality, including:

• Device speech recognition (Apple / Google)
• AI language processing providers
• Cloud infrastructure and database providers
• Authentication providers (e.g., Google Sign-In)

We are not responsible for the behavior, availability, or privacy practices of third-party services. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms and policies.

The app, including its software, design, branding, graphics, and AI features, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the app
• Use our trademarks or branding without permission
• Create derivative works based on the app

All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We do not guarantee that the app will:

• Be free of errors or defects
• Accurately interpret all voice input
• Meet your specific financial tracking needs
• Be available without interruption
• Remain compatible with future device software

Use of the app is at your own risk. PenniAI is a personal finance tool and is not a substitute for professional financial advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, including expense records
• Financial decisions made based on app data
• Issues arising from third-party services

Our total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid by you to use the app in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access if:

• You violate these Terms
• You misuse the app or its features
• The app is discontinued

Upon termination, your account data may be deleted. Any data stored on your device will remain until you remove it.

We may update or modify the app, its features, or these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by updating the "Last updated" date above.

Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
